The Show Is On!
Our Fine Art Show for 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. However, we have reserved our Opera Hall venue for October 22-24, 2021, preparations have been going forward and as of early June, it appears that the show is on! This is our most important fundraiser for student art support in Tuolumne County. This year we will include a student section and a section for photography. We need volunteers! Contact Linda Happel at 209 532 7240 if you're interested.
Business is Great at the New Aloft Gallery
Despite the ongoing pandemic Aloft Gallery has been doing very well in its new location at 105 Washington Street in downtown Sonora. We have a wonderful collection of work by new artist members as well as old friends. People who had to cancel vacation plans for 2020 are buying art! The site itself, in the historic Baers Building, is worth a visit. Go here for Aloft information or visit the Gallery website at www.aloftartgallery.com
The Aloft Gallery reserves space for MLAA members to show their art free of charge. The space is reserved for members who are not also members of Aloft. Interested? Go here to our "Contact Us" page to get in touch with Susan Kendall. Don't miss this opportunity!
2021 Board Positions Open
MLAA still has volunteer opportunities for the following positions on the 2021 Board: Vice President, Program Chair and Secretary. We currently have some Board members doing double duty, which works for now, but not when activity picks up (as we hope) later in 2021. Interested? Contact President John Sharum through the "Contact Us" page for more information.

Meetings are announced in the Union Democrat Weekender. Our free artist demos are held after each meeting. Members receive an electronic newsletter several times a year and have access to venues where we can hang our work free of charge.
