About the MLAA
The Mother Lode Art Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1951 to promote the arts and appreciation of the arts in our community. Meetings followed by an art demo are held each month except July, August and December. Check this page for updated information on times and places of meetings. We sponsor a Juried Art Show each year and our Plein Air Group meets weekly, weather permitting.

The Mother Lode Art Association will hold a special meeting no sooner than one month from 7/1/2024 in order to discuss and enact amendments to the organization's bylaws and other MLAA Business. The exact date, time and location is currently being determined.

BEST IN SHOW! "Crushed Red Velvet", pastel, by Diane Boegel,
This year, following our very successful Fine Art Show in April, we did something new: invited artists who particupated in the Show to exhibit their work in the Library. Be sure to stop by and enjoy some lovely artwork, including "Best of Show" winner "Crushed Red Velvet" by Diana Boegel (photo above right) and People's Choice winner "Contemplation" (left),The show will be up until June 25, 2024.
