The Mother Lode Art Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1951 to promote the arts and the appreciation of the arts in our community.
We have art demonstrations at our monthly meetings, sponsor the Aloft, a local gallery, and organize an annual juried art show each fall. In addition to the gallery our members currently have access to three other venues where artists can display their work year round. Our goal is to provide support for art programs in area schools.
Meetings are held at 1:00 pm on the third Monday of each month except July, August and December, in the Community Room of the Tuolumne County Public Library at 480 Greenley Road, Sonora. Our free artist demos are held after the meeting.
