The Mother Lode Art Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1951 to promote the arts and the appreciation of the arts in our community.
What does the Mother Lode Art Association do?
We do art!!! We have art demonstrations at our monthly meetings, sponsor a local gallery, and organize an annual juried art show each fall. These venues, and others, provide artists the opportunity to show and sell their artwork. Our goal is to provide support for art programs in area schools.
We publish a bimonthly newsletter, full of art news in our community and beyond.. We have outings, build friendships, share knowledge, and encourage each other in the pursuit of art!
Meetings are held at 1:00 pm on the third Monday of each month except July, August and December, in the Community Room of the Tuolumne County Public Library at 480 Greenley Road, Sonora. Artist demos are held after the meeting.
