Last year's Grand Prize Winner, Timothy Mulligan, of Rocklin, Ca, kindly donated this 11 x 14 acrylic painting for this year's drawing. The painting is on display at the Aloft Art Gallery, 167 S. Washington St., Sonora. Tickets for an opportunity to to win this painting are available there also.

Mother Lode Art Association's 61st Annual Juried Fall Show
The Mother Lode Art Association will hold its 61st Annual Art Show and Exhibit October 11th through October 16th at the Sonora Opera Hall, 250 S. Washington Street in Sonora. The reception will be held on Friday, October 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Public is invited. There will be a wide variety of raffle prizes and a Grand Prize Original donated by Timothy Mulligan.
For the past 61 years the MLAA has been sharing works of local and regional artists with the community at their annual exhibition. There are seven categories of art with First, Second and Third place awards and a separate category for Foothill Favorites. There will be a Best of Show, a Mayors Award and a Peoples Choice Award. This annual event is the main fund raiser for MLAA which enables the association to attain their goal of providing scholarships to students that wish to continue their education in the arts and promoting arts in the community.

The Exhibit will be open Sat. Oct. 12th Sonora Arts 2nd Saturday, from 11 am – 8 pm and Wed., Oct. 16th from 11 am – 5 pm. The drawings for the raffle prizes and the Grand Prize will be held on Wed. Oct. 16th at 2 pm. The exhibit is free of charge.
